I’m working on two projects with lots of passion behind it! One of them involving E-commerce and the other one involving Charity. Both of them shares common ground which is social entrepreneurship.

Brief explanation about Sedapur: Sedapur is a home for food lovers. Our main seller is home industry food vendors. Small scale and willing to growth with our nurtured community of food lovers. We try to solve their problems in managing order and shipping. And each food must be described in details to customers. Sedapur grows as each of the seller grows as well.

Introduction to Bagi Kasih: Bagi Kasih is a social charity network. The main focus is to bridging the gap between Orphanage/Orphans and their Donators. We provide solution to simplify donation means and methods.

That’s all the details that I give for now. I’m so excited in working with these fellows!

I’m using my own Theme Framework for this new design. It consists of theme options, sidebars, integrated custom google search, and many more. It’s light, stable, and I can add my own plugin. After this theme, I am planning to upgrade my previously shared “Kayu dan Daun Template”. I hope more and more WordPress user will use this template in this year.

And finally, I’m ready to roll this year with some resolutions: Learn more, earn more, and have fun more than last year!

As I mentioned before, you can choose to take a picture from visible area or the whole website. From there, you can either Upload, Save, Email, Send to Clipboard (same as print screen), or Open in External Editor (MS Paint or Photoshop). And the most useful part is this: Edit.

FireShot also have their own Editing Windows. Saving a lot of times cropping, resizing, drawing or highlighting your snapshots without opening other image external editors. This is a good example for bloggers who wants to create tutorials from website snapshots. The result in Editing Windows can either saved in your computer or directly uploaded in FireShot’s image hosting.

The latest FireShot improvement is the ability to render FLASH animation (as you can see from my example above, the flash section in my website is captured perfectly). Before, it was only plain flash background without the captured animation.

Not too long after I manage to import all the Blog content using WordPress’s magical button, I was offered to some kind of big project. To develop layout design for Kamus Ilmiah.com, an online Indonesian dictionary for terms and vocabulary related to various study. Despite the reward that I’ll get (great leap in my personal portfolio), I got a subdomain to host my website, under the domain of Kamus Ilmiah.com. This is great! That’s why, during January 1st 2008, firewalker.kamusilmiah.com is born.

Then I remember that I got a wasted subdomain at freewebhosting24/7. It’s already registered as my real name: didikwicaksono.freewebhosting247.com because I really wanted to follow the path of David Airey’s in making his own site. I also remembered that the name were too long and sophisticated. The name Didik Wicaksono is consist more than 10 characters which will definitely makes people mis-spelled the URI. Well, I won’t get enough audience by this. So, yesterday I decided to make this didikwicaksono.freewebhosting247.com to become my Personal Blog while firewalker.kamusilmiah.com as my portfolio and graphic design related blog.

I need to distinct the Personal and Non-Personal posts, luckily I already categorized it. However, WordPress didn’t have the feature to massively delete all post within categories. I need a plugin for this. That’s why I search for WordPress post plugin at WP-Plugins. I found out this plugin: Mass Post Manager. It’s a plugin byVolodymyr Danylyuk.The function is to delete or move posts within categories. The latest function is to delete all spammed comments.

The procedure is like this:

1. I delete the ‘Personal’ category, which will be automatically moved by WordPress into a category labeled as default. The default category at that time was labeled as ‘uncategorized’
2. Then I delete all post within ‘uncategorized’ category using Mass Post Manager
3. However, I forgot that the static page was also labeled as ‘uncategorized’ by default
4. In other words, all my static page was turn to ashes! For God Sake!

Luckily, I already installed this plugin: WP-DBManager A plugin by‘GaMerZ’ Chan. It’s a must have plugin! It’s not just that it provides you with interface to control your SQL database, it also created a regular backup to your backup folder or send it to your email in both SQL and GZIP format. My last scheduled backup was January 6th, three days ago. I only need to update the Static Page, not the whole database, because recently I got a nice comment from David Airey in the previous post which I will never miss it. With a limited time and knowledge, I manage to run the SQL command to insert the page.

Now, I’m setting up my database to backup every 10PM. I won’t missed some opportunities for some human errors.

Finally I got myself a new Facebook profile. At first thought, I wanted to build new network using my friends from college and high school. However, applications in facebook profiles are unlimited! I just can’t seem to track any new message and invitation immediately. Need to do a spring cleaning on my Facebook profile. It seems that others find it interesting to put as many application as possible inside their Facebook profile. Each person can have more than 30 applications inside their profile, which cost some time and bandwidth for the slowpoke internet connection. People just like it, Facebook is really a dynamic site. You can almost put everything inside. I randomly upload images from other source in the web, just for fun. Yeah, Facebook is really entertaining, I started to get addicted to it.

I am not going to remove a single page from this site to Facebook, in fact I wanted my Facebook to list every single post here. Yes, you can do that. They provide notes which can subscribe your RSS reader, another frequent subscriber. This time, the application isn’t just a single note, you can still add more for your blogging empire. Hmm… I am wondering, if I can attract people from Facebook, it will be a great pleasure. Facebook have become the top search from Google and Yahoo. I won’t mind to get my traffic become Hectic, that’s because Blogspot is just as reliable as it is.

Opportunity comes in handy, I see huge market is lying in Facebook, both niche and non-niche. You can target specific area and join their network, it’s a simple process. Some people are trying to get their money on Facebook by creating an application. This is another quotation that I took related to this story:

Various applications are starting to get their fangs on Facebook. I just installed this Splash Blast game and look how many people are online and playing this game. It is twice, no, triplet as much as any MMORPG I have ever joined. People just like simple stuff nowadays, and fun too. While some application claims that they gained benefits more from Facebook. For example is meebo; they claim to have 20 million monthly hits from Facebook application, what a huge number. Oops, I got an attack while writing this blog, it is from the Triumph game application.

Well, know I wanted to find my niche, it’s time to search any interest-related group which involves Graphic Design.

First Step: Configure your blog account.

Here is how you configure your blog account, simply log in into your blog account and Flock will remember it in the “My World” page. My World page is a page created by Flock to display your accounts information, favorites, RSS, and other Flock features. After you logged in to your blog account, you can access the Blog Post creator. Click the blue feather icon to enter the Blog Post.

Second Step: Configure your image host account.

The image hosts available for Flock are Flickr and Photobucket. Simply logged in to either one of them so that Flock will remember it in the My World page. If Flock hasn’t remembered it, just log out and log in again. After logging in, enter the image uploader by clicking the upward arrow in the tools. You can either upload it in single or batch upload.

Third Step: Begin writing a blog

To begin blogging, you must configure which blog you are going to use. For example you are logged in using one Blogspot account which consist of many blogs. Flock will prompt you to choose which blog you are going to post. Flock only remind you once, at the first time you use Flock’s Blog creator. If you need to change your blog, press the Configure button or access the Tools menu.

Fourth Step: Putting images inside your blog post

Here, you can input your images from the Media bar. Media bar is Flock’s feature to display your most recent uploaded media. It can be picture or even video (Flock’s also support YouTube account, however, not for uploading, only for viewing). To input your image, you need the image’s URL. To get it, simply right-click at the picture inside the media bar to get it’s URL. There are choices of customized URLs, pick the one which is only representing the actual file for the image. Press the Image tool to insert an image (it can only be viewed in the Editor mode), then paste it into URL field. You can arrange the alignment of the image to the text.

Fifth Step: Publish the post

To publish, simply click the publish button and the Blog Creator will closed. Don’t forget to input the Post Tag for better SEO and categorization. Simple, isn’t? This post itself was made with Flock. Make sure you know what you are posting, because the result might not be as good as you demand.

I copied this post from Matt Nutts, it is a hosted WordPress blog but this article is concerning the blogger’s blog he owns. Yesterday, Google are putting ban and restriction to some of bloggers who own PayPerPost account. Unfortunately I was included. This time, it is becoming big matters, it concerns all blogger who use Blogger.com, because what Google had done is just alienating blogger inside their own blog.

Whats Changed?

Before, another blogger from anywhere could post a comment on a blogger/blogspot post and get a link back by adding their blog address and name, this in turn created a backlink via the name field which led back to the bloggers blog.

Google has changed this and made it almost impossible to get a backlink to your blog unless you add your blog address within the actual comment. What they want to do now is sign up for a Google account which allows you to add your user name to the comment, add a nickname or leave an anonymous comment.

What Does This Mean To A Blogger?

For one thing you wont receive a backlink to your blog. To make matters worse it could altere a lot of things.

Technorati – After 6 months all back links from blogger/blogspot blogs will disappear which could alter things on technorati drastically.

Advertising – A lot of advertising networks use the number of back links as an indicator to how popular a site is, what happens when all the links disappear.

Statistics – Loads of people use the back links for statistics and to measure their blogs growth, doing what Google have done will make this very hard to measure where traffic is coming from if its from another blogger/blogspot blog.

Finding New Blogs – In the long run it will stop bloggers finding each other, I follow anyy comments left on my blogs back to the blog that left them by clicking on the name field of the comment. I sometimes end up subscribing or becoming a fan of the blog I visit. What Google have done has basically stopped communication between bloggers and stopped the core feature of blogging which is getting the word out and getting noticed by spreading news around.

Why?

Who knows, it will create more accounts for Google thats for sure. It also means you have to have a Google account to get anything worth while out of blogging on blogger.

What I propose is everyone posts about this, copy this post if you have to, make badges. I can make a list of links below, let Google know what you feel about it. Any comments here will be added to the post with a link back to your blog.

This morning, nothing is unusual. I agree with the weekenders by saying that Saturday should be spent with laying around and get some rest for playing hard in Sunday morning. Then I decide to go to my sista’s room to have some free internet access and a cozy looking bed. After I browse some new entries from my inbox, this post shows up: PayPerPost Users Freaking Out Over Google PageRank Nuke

WTF???

This is really getting into my nerve, it just cut my spine into pieces! I just posted my first PayPerPost posting a few days ago. For people who subscribe my feed must be aware of those post. Then, this is what happen when I check my PR with SEOTools.

Then, I suddenly send tickets to close my PayPerPost account, delete all posts related to PayPerPost, even I delete the banner I specially design for PPPDirect and BlogInSpace! This is ridiculous! Just after I sign up to various monetizing site, I got plenty of disadvantages! MY PR had gone to 0.
